Brittni and Rory | June 5, 2010 | Semiahmoo Resort – Blaine, WA
This wedding was elegant in its simplicity. I loved the resort feeling and the fact that guests enjoyed the night knowing that they just had to walk to the elevator to get “home” for the night. There is something magical about a destination wedding.
The thing I loved most about this wedding was the tie-in of tangerine into the color scheme of cream and taupe. In the dressing room, the girls all had tangerine cover-ups, the signature drink was orange, there was a hint of orange on all the printed materials, orange bistro cloths, orange pillows on white furniture, and an orange candy bar. It was tastefully done, and added so much life to the wedding.
June is a very “iffy” month for sunshine in the Pacific Northwest, but June 5th was a beautiful spring/summer day. The ceremony took place on a dock over the water; the cocktail hour was held on the dock; and the reception was in a tent overlooking the water.
Seeing the excitement on the bride’s face, watching the bridal party interact and have fun with each other, catching a glimpse of the parents full of love and pride –This is why I coordinate weddings!
