Alex and Doug

[Click to View Gallery] — A beautiful couple, along with all the elements of a garden party, a rockin’ band, and great weather – how much better does it get??

This couple is the epitome of all things outdoors – hiking, mountain climbing, water sports, to name a few. Their guestbook was a surfboard depicting their love of the water.

The wedding was beautifully orchestrated with the ceremony officiated by the bride’s father’s cousin. The florist took the bride’s vision and created a natural wood arbor with greenery and flowers intertwined around the wood. An acoustic guitar played musical selections not generally associated with wedding music. The officiant read “their story” to give the guests a glimpse into who Alex and Doug are. Instead of a unity candle, Alex and Doug chose to celebrate with a sand ceremony.

The reception took place on the lawn at Lakewold Gardens. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and the guests basked in the beauty of the day. At the end of the day, I heard someone say, “Barbie and Ken do exist!”

Have I mentioned how much I love what I do?? I am blessed to be doing a job I have such passion about and am fortunate to work with awesome couples!

“I cannot thank you enough for our perfect wedding.  It was gorgeous, everything we hoped for, and more.  You had everything planned to a T and kept us exactly on track the whole night.  It really was perfect!  You were amazing and so helpful and detail-oriented (like me;)).  You have me as a full recommender any time you need one!  — Bride

“The best, smartest thing done to prepare for Alex’s and Doug’s wedding was to put you on task. Your attention to them and their wishes plus devotion to detail was exceptional. This decision started with Doug’s typical thoughtfulness and idea, and Alex’s following through to find you. Good on them both!

And good on you for all your guidance and implementation. There is a lot of detail I could refer to, so much in fact that, may I say, if one hasn’t done this before, you wouldn’t know what you were in for until it would be too late.

One thing stands out to my mind. At our initial meeting, it was very clear to me that you would not be happy unless Alex was — particularly with regard to a choice for the wedding site. After clocking several hundred miles driving and looking, I felt you were as happy as we when Alex settled on Lakewold. From that point on, I knew Alex and Doug would be in good hands.

Most people can’t come close to Alex’s organizational skills, and your experience, knowledge, and “in-charge” ability made this a great match for a wonderful wedding.” — Father of Bride
