[Click To View Gallery] — The weather was absolutely perfect for a rooftop wedding. The sun glistened off the water sculptures as well as on the boats anchored in the harbor. Yellow, teal, and red were the primary colors used in the wedding – teal bridesmaids dresses, red shoes, yellow umbrellas. The bride had made paper origami flowers that she incorporated into the bouquets and altar flowers. Yellow Chinese lanterns were tied with red ribbon and strung down the center aisle. The bride’s godfather officiated at the ceremony.
The escort card table was layered with teal crushed rock and yellow origami roses with the escort cards wedged into the rock. Teal and yellow lanterns with red ribbon hung from the second floor of the Museum. Gold fish were used for the centerpieces and given to a guest at each table at the end of the reception.
The bride was stunning in her form fitting gown, and even more beautiful when she changed into her red Chinese gown. The groom produced an animated video about their dating by using birds as the characters. This video was shown in the Museum’s Hot Shop. Dancing started later than planned, but the dance floor was always packed with guests enjoying themselves.
In all the years I have been coordinating weddings, this was one of the most precise brides I have ever worked with. The best part of the wedding for me was when her attendants, mother, and the groom’s mother said that the bride told them her wedding was “PERFECT.” It doesn’t get any better than that!
