[Click to View Gallery] — What could be better than having a wedding at the Sorrento Hotel in December … except having the privilege of coordinating the wedding of a daughter of one of my previous brides.
This bride was stunning! I heard someone call her “Snow White,” which is a perfect description of how Rachel looked on her wedding day. The photographer captured exquisite photos during a pre-ceremony shoot at Pike Street Market, the stage at Triple Door, and Capital Grille.
The ceremony took place in the Top of the Town at the Sorrento Hotel. Rather than a “sand” ceremony, this couple chose to have a “salt” ceremony. Another highlight of the ceremony was having Rachel and Scott read a personal love letter to each other. After the ceremony, guests gathered in the Penthouse Suite for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The marriage license was signed in the bedroom of the Penthouse Suite and at the exact time as Rachel was signing the license, Scott hit the enter button on her Facebook account changing her profile from “single” to “married.”
The reception showcased the beauty of what the Sorrento is all about – food, service, and ambiance. The guests were treated to a plated dinner, after which there was dancing, a photobooth available to take your picture and then create a scrapbook page and, last but not least, Dick’s Burgers, Fries, and Milk Shakes were delivered for late-night snacks around 11:30 p.m.
I can’t believe I have been coordinating weddings long enough to be doing second generation weddings! But I thoroughly enjoyed reacquainting myself with this “little girl” who is now all grown up and gorgeous. But wait … I not only was thrilled to be able to coordinate the wedding for Rachel and Scott, but have the pleasure and privilege of coordinating her twin sister’s wedding this summer!
